MTE has made it easy for exhibitors to identify mine visitors during the shows with the help of the MTE designation identifier. This system categorises the different mining departments into different colour codes so exhibitors can easily identify their target audience.

How to know who belongs to what department
Use this guide – which is always available on site (ask one of the MTE members) and can be downloaded in advance from MTE’s website – to identify your target audience.
- Gold – Management, including executives, heads of departments, supervisors, superintendents and co-ordinators
- Orange – Mining, including miner overseers, shift managers and production managers
- Red – MRM, including the geologist, laboratory, metallurgy and rock engineers
- Pink – Procurement, including buyers, supply chain, stores and contract management
- Light blue – Engineering, including plant engineers, electrical engineer, mechanical engineers and foremen
- Purple – The administration block (human resources, training, finance and admin)
- Dark green – Health, safety and environment
- Yellow – Projects, including consultants and project departments
- Silver – Maintenance
- White – Processing
- Black – Private companies such as contractors and construction
- Lime – Artisans
- Brown – Logistics
