Mining and Technical Exhibitions (MTE) hosted another successful combo expo in the Northern Cape Province, proving once again that targeted trade and technical exhibitions that move from area to area continue to be valuable because they bring industry expertise directly to local hubs, foster regional economic growth, and create face-to-face networking opportunities that digital platforms cannot replicate.

The high-impact travelling expo hosted its annual shows at Hotazel and Kathu, connecting hundreds of mining professionals, contractors and suppliers. Supported by mine managers, engineers, instrumentation technicians, artisans, procurement officers, maintenance and mine safety officers, suppliers were able to showcase their innovations to the right audience while tailoring engagement to the local market needs.
Over 260 miners and contractors supported the Hotazel show held on 7 July 2026, with representatives from various mining companies and departments. Visitors enjoyed interacting with the various stalls and live demonstrations suppliers had on display. On the other hand, Kathu saw an impressive turnout of over 500 boots coming to the expo. The annual golf day was also a major success. The golf day attracted 19 four-balls, and all 18 holes were sponsored.
