Mining and Technical Exhibitions’ (MTE’s) focus for April moves to Rustenburg, a key hub within South Africa’s platinum mining sector.

Rustenburg’s mining and industrial hub remains central to South Africa’s platinum group metal (PGMs), along with its chrome operations. These commodities are crucial to employment and infrastructure in the North West Province.
As such, the Mining Engineering and Mineral Process Exhibitions taking place on 16 April 2026 from 13:00–17:00 remains a strategic fixture on the MTE calendar. The exhibition will bring together suppliers and mine personnel in one of the country’s most active mining regions. As operations in the area continue to evolve, the show will provide a timely platform for engagement around current challenges, operational efficiencies and new technologies.
MTE also advises suppliers that the previously scheduled South Deep show will no longer take place. Initially meant to take place on 23 April 2026 in Gauteng, the show has been cancelled due to unforeseen challenges, with a new date and venue to be announced at a later stage.
