TC Burrs for High-Performance Applications
PFERD supplies a range of high-quality Tungsten Carbide Burrs in various industry required shapes and sizes.
The TC burrs are highly suited to demanding applications as they offer maximum stock removal attributed to their high aggressiveness.
They also offer improved operator safety and comfort due to reduced vibration and noise levels.
STEEL Cut
For high stock removal on steel and cast steel, the burr features smooth milling with reduced vibration and noise. The STEEL cut removes up to 50% more stock on steel than conventional crosscut burrs.
ALLROUND Cut
“ONE cut for MANY materials”. These burrs feature a high stock removal rate on key materials including steel, cast steel, stainless steel (INOX), non-ferrous metal and cast iron. The ALLROUND cut burrs remove up to 30% more stock on steel when compared with conventional TC burrs.
INOX Cut
Specifically developed for stainless steel (INOX) as well as all austenitic, rust and acid-resistant steels. The specific tooth geometry enables increased stock removal in less time, thereby reducing heat to prevent heat discolouration. Optimum chip formation results in high-quality surface finishes.
NON-FERROUS Cut & ALU Cut
PFERD developed the NON-FERROUS burr for the universal use on non-ferrous metals and fibre reinforced plastics. The advanced ALU cut features an extremely high stock removal rate on aluminium thanks to the large chip formation and its reduced material adhesion.
CAST Cut
An extremely aggressive burr to mill cast iron, nodular cast iron and annealed cast iron. The innovative tooth geometry enables large chip removal while maintaining low vibration and noise levels.
TITANIUM Cut
The Titanium cut is specifically for materials that are particularly hard to machine, including titanium and hard titanium alloys. The burr’s tooth geometry delivers an outstanding stock removal rate—even on materials with a tensile strength > 500N/mm2.
MICRO Cut
MICRO cut burrs are ideal for finishing work—their specific design allows for fine stock removal to deliver high quality surface finishes on a variety of materials including steel, cast steel, INOX, non-ferrous metals and cast iron. Applications include very fine cleaning work, the sharpening of cutting tools as well as tool and mould construction.
