CASE Construction Equipment South Africa’s range of full-size F-series wheel loaders has advanced features for faster operation, higher productivity, lower fuel consumption and improved safety on site.

“The F-series wheel loaders, with reduced emissions, also offers increased power ratings, an additional lifting capacity and greater break-out force,” says Ross Collard, managing director of CASE Construction Equipment SA, part of the Capital Equipment Group (CEG) of Invicta Holdings. “Four models in the F-series are available locally – 621F, 821F, 921F and 1021F – each designed for efficient and safe operation in arduous applications in diverse industries, including construction, quarrying, mining and waste handling.

“The robust F-series, with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to meet the latest Tier 4 emissions standards, offers increased power ratings and fuel savings of up to 10%. Fuel economy is increased further with the standard engine shutdown feature, which limits engine idle time.”

Case 621F, 821F and 921F models have a 6.7-litre engine and the 1021F has an 8.7 litre engine, all with high horsepower and torque ratings to deliver the exact power required for each task. The standard four-speed transmission, with a lock-up torque converter for improved acceleration and safe hill climbing. This transmission provides continuous short cycles for fast performance and high productivity. The POWERINCH declutching feature ensures accuracy and control when operating in tight settings, especially during truck loading.

A common-rail electronically controlled certified diesel engine gives the operator four work modes to choose from (economy, standard, auto and maximum power) for optimum efficiency in any application. Benefits include better use of available power, lower fuel consumption, reduced wear on the engine and drive line, lower noise levels and reduced overall emissions.

CASE F-series wheel loaders maintain precise control of oil temperature in the axles to ensure dependable operation. The cooling module is now fitted higher in the chassis for improved performance and reduced running costs. This system, with an auto or manual reverse fan that clears dust and debris from the radiator fin, maintains temperatures at an optimum level for extended component life.

An open differential on the front and rear axles also prevents overheating and a differential lock on the front axles provides effective grip control on any surface, particularly on soft soil, where greater resistance is needed.

For optimum safety and durability, the cabs of these wheel loaders are reinforced and are ROPS certified, ensuring operator protection against roll-over. These machines also available with XR (Extended Reach) linkage for a greater dump height and versatility
