What makes MTE so successful is the fact that we put so much effort into each and every show that we organise. MTE’s expertise lies in the in-depth database we have collected over the years regarding mines and mining operations across Africa (and the globe). Our operations director, Andrew Macnamara, travels extensively to these operations to meet with top level management as well as engineering and safety departments to find out what their needs are in order to match those needs with suppliers who can provide the solutions the mines are looking for. This means that every exhibition is customised for the requirements of each area and buy-in from the mines is virtually guaranteed. This model has proven to be highly effective and has been used by the company for many years.

Perhaps one of the most difficult challenges we have had to overcome was the Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdown which placed the whole country on hold. While the entire infrastructure of South Africa was in dire straits it fell to the mining industry to keep the economy afloat and MTE made sure to assist in that regard. By changing our shows to become compliant with social distancing and compulsory masks we were able to continue providing the same high-quality service which our clients rely on to get their products to the heart of the mines. Not only that, we also adapted by embracing digital solutions with our product portal and the introduction of the MTE app.
