After a good start to the year in which MTE Exhibitions managed to fit in a few shows, the dreaded global pandemic Covid-19 has once again put a spoke in the wheels. In line with strict Level-4 Covid-19 regulations, promulgated by President Cyril Ramaphosa at the end of June 2021, in reaction to a severe third wave of Covid-19 infections, all public gatherings, regardless of whether they are held indoors or outdoors, are not permitted. This has obviously affected MTE’s current calendar and future shows. However, the MTE team has put together a fantastic online digital portal for July and August to ensure that suppliers keep in touch with the market.

Suppliers can list all their company information on the online portal and will be able to display their products, publish videos and include links to their websites. Their offering will then get sent out to MTE’s large client base, which includes secretaries at the various mines who will then forward it on to management. The MTE online portal is a great tool to stay in touch with the industry and an innovative initiative to continue educating the entire mining sector.

The information will be forwarded to all South African mines in July and to all African mines across the continent in August.
