The second quarter of 2023 is in full swing now and instead of losing steam, the MTE team is gearing up for even more exciting exhibitions going forward into June. This month the team will head down to KwaZulu-Natal for an expo specifically tailored for the Sappi SAICCOR paper and pulp mill and its staff, followed by a Mining & Technical Exhibition taking place in Richards Bay. In the latter half of the month MTE will be bringing their famous orange tents to Limpopo for the Phalaborwa show. Read on for more details.

Sappi SAICCOR Paper and Pulp Exhibition
6 June 2023
Sappi SAICCOR Mill
12h00-16h30

Located 50km south of Durban and surrounded by lush greenery is the SAICCOR Mill, a major producer of dissolving pulp and other everyday materials with a focus on using renewable resources. While MTE is normally focused on the mining industry, this is a great example of the diversified offerings which the company provides by catering to other industries as well. For example, this expo has been tailored according to the requirements of the SAICCOR Mill and will thus feature suppliers with a focus on the paper and pulp industry as well as local SMMEs, as requested by Sappi.

Richards Bay Industrial Exhibition
8 June 2023
John Ross College
13h00-17h00

Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal is home to several important mining and industrial operations including mining as well as the aluminium, sugar, acid, harbour and paper & pulp industries in addition to dune mining and processing. Once again, MTE has demonstrated its flexibility by catering to all of the above industries for this exhibition, which features an amalgam of commodities and visitors from a wide variety of sectors. The Richards Bay Coal Terminal is the largest of its kind in Africa and thus forms a hub of activity for the region. In order to ‘keep the wheels turning’ at the operations involved there will be a focus on logistics and fleet maintenance as well as safety and efficiency, fuel management, product movement and transfer, processing contractors, and general industrial parts and supplies. MTE’s marketing team has worked tirelessly to target all relevant operations in the area and this is expected to be a fantastic show with a varied selection of visitors from the above industries. If you missed your chance to book for this year’s show then get in touch with the team now to discuss bookings for next year.

Phalaborwa Mining and Technical Exhibition
22 June 2023
Laerskool Phalaborwa Noord (Rooi Skool)
13h00-17h00

Phalaborwa beckons, and MTE will answer the call. This town in Limpopo, located near the confluence of the Ga-Selati and the Olifants rivers, is close enough to the Kruger National Park that elephants sometimes cause traffic jams in the town. This won’t stop MTE however – so book your place now and get in on the action! With a range of different commodities being mined in the area, there will be something for everyone with this expo. Anyone who supplies the copper, magnetite, vermiculite, phosphate or feldspar industries will find great value by using this event to market their products to those who are looking for solutions for their operations. Is that thunderous sound a herd of elephants? No, it’s a horde of visitors making their way to MTE Phalaborwa!

Another exciting month of MTE shows awaits, so stay tuned for more developments and if you want a piece of the action then don’t hesitate to get in touch. MTE specialises in bringing buyers and suppliers together in one place for maximum benefit to both and its proven formula can give your business or operation the edge you’ve been looking for.
