This month the MTE Team found themselves in picturesque Kwa-Zulu Natal. Not even the ruinous state of the roads after the recent flooding could impede us from reaching our destinations!
Sappi SAICCOR Paper and Pulp exhibition
The first show took place on 7 June at the Sappi SAICCOR Mill with an exhibition catering to the paper and pulp industry. Surrounded by lush green mountainsides and with pleasant weather, the stage was set for another highly productive expo. This was a particularly exciting event as it was our first ever Sappi SAICCOR expo – which launched to great success and much positive feedback from both visitors and exhibitors. Despite the fact that only Sappi employees were admitted, the turnout was very impressive with a consistent flow of more than 400 visitors throughout the day and with regular appearances even from top level management, including the general manager.
Richards Bay Mining and Industrial exhibition
Following this, the Team moved onwards to Richards Bay for another high impact mining and industrial expo, which took place on 9 June at John Ross College, a regular host venue for us with many successful shows held there over the years. This year was no exception, and there was a wide variety of exhibitors present with members of the sugar, forestry, paper, and mining industries there to display or talk about their latest products and services.
The turnout of visitors included mine managers, directors, engineers, supervisors, technicians, millwrights, project managers and many more. With such a great selection of quality visitors and exhibitors networking and engaging face to face the event was a huge highlight for many, with some exhibitors happily informing us that they completely ran out of business cards due to the high amount of interest.
