During his state of the nation address (SONA), President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the country’s elections will take place on 8 May 2019. As the date clashes with MTE’s Sibanye expo, a new date has been set for the show.

After a meeting with Sibanye-Stillwater, it was decided that it would be best to change the date of the expo to Thursday 16 May 2019. Mining and Technical Exhibition (MTE) feels that it is best to move the show to a later date once the national elections are over.

By moving the show, visitors and exhibitors will have an opportunity to vote and then visit the expo a week after elections. All South Africans have a right to vote and MTE encourages all exhibitors and visitors to go to the polls on 8 May 2019 and make their mark on our country’s future.

Each MTE exhibition is organised with the main aim to ensure that it is beneficial for all exhibitors and visitors. MTE prides itself in bringing visitors and exhibitors together at a mutual location and the MTE team looks forward to welcoming everyone to the show after they’ve voted.

A fantastic expo awaits visitors and exhibitors on 16 May 2019; it will take place at a different venue, which will be announced in due course. Watch this space!
