Mining & Technical Exhibitions (MTE) hosted three expos in June – all with a different focus and flair. The Saiccor expo took place on 3 June, followed two days later by Richards Bay on 5 June, and the month ended on a high with the customary, popular MTE Phalaborwa Mining & Industrial Exhibition on 19 June 2025.

MTE’s Kwa-Zulu Natal combo
The Saiccor show saw an exceptional turnout of 363 visitors who came to see 45 exhibiting companies targeting general industry, while the MTE Richards Bay tradeshow was supported by 67 exhibiting companies, who demo-ed their wares to 263 visitors. Andrew Macnamara, operations director, had this to say about both shows respectively,“The Saiccor exhibition is always a well supported exhibition, targeting the engineers and maintenance employees. Suppliers had solutions for end-user challenges and there was something for everybody. At Richards Bay, we where happy with the growth in visitor numbers and exhibitor access to quality visitors from RBM and Mondi, with both days being pleasant days in the sun.”

Phalaborwa
MTE tailors the Phalaborwa travelling exhibition to cater to the iron, copper and phosphate ore needs of the numerous operations in the area, including the specific needs of PMC, Palabora Mining Company. Here 42 exhibitors networked with 241 visitors on the day. Macnamara said, “We always have great support from the PMC and Foskor operations in the area. This is an intimate, well-attended expo run annually. Visitor numbers grew from both operations and quality was on point, with the engineering manager from Foskor to maintenance managers from PMC attending.”
