Zambia’s Kalumbila mine mills around 3 million tonnes of copper per year. This mine is located in the Kalumbila district in the northern province of Zambia and is one of four copper mines in that country.
Solwezi is the northern province’s provincial capital. Solwezi and surrounds are home to copper, gold, cobalt and uranium mines, which are economic drivers in the area. Kansanshi Mine is about 10km north of Solwezi. Kansanshi Mine is a large open pit gold and copper mine.
Kitwe serves as the base for a number of mines, such as the Mopani Mines. Copper, cobalt and emeralds are mined in the Kitwe area.
Exhibitors at these three popular Zambian expos should include companies that supply equipment or products to copper mines, as well as products or equipment ideal for use in the copper mining process.
As one of Africa’s largest copper producers, there is a great demand for products and services in the area. This includes fuel meter calibration, mill liners, OEM suppliers of bearings and filers, survey equipment, industrial lighting and so much more. If your product or service is ideal for the copper mining industry, this is one combo you won’t want to miss out on!
