One of MTE’s biggest shows, the Rustenburg Mining, Engineering and Mineral Processing Exhibition, is set to be hosted on 16 April 2026. Rustenburg is one of South Africa’s biggest mining regions, and is home to several platinum mining and chrome operations.

Suppliers are invited to join MTE at the upcoming Rustenburg Mining, Engineering and Minerals Procession Exhibition.

Supported by Sibanye-Stillwater platinum mines, Impala, Kroondal chrome mine, Rustenburg chrome mines, precious metals and base metals refineries, Samancor, and Dikwena chrome and Tharisa Minerals, among many others, this promises to be a highly impactful expo.

This show is an opportunity worth grabbing for suppliers and service providers to showcase their products, services and solutions to relevant personnel onsite. The mines consist of three intermediate-depth vertical shafts that utilise a conventional mining method, as well as the Bathopele inclined shafts, which utilise a shallow bord-and-pillar mining method. In addition to the underground operations, there are also two tailings retreatment operations.

Operational needs and services requested by the mines include a missing person locator, water control, compressors, circuit breaker, fire detection on belt, dust suppression, hydrocarbon management, oil separation, diesel particulate matter, fuel management systems, hydraulic pump and corrosion prevention systems.

As well as electronic spares, liner motors, specialised tooling, steel work tools, underground steel, head gear corrosion, lamproom services, condition monitoring, scraper self-alignment and rip prevention.

Benefits of exhibiting

Exhibiting at an MTE show has many benefits, such as gaining direct access to mining operations, as these expos are attended by senior management, engineers, operators and miners. You get to hear directly from the miners what their challenges are.

In return, exhibitors stay ahead of industry trends by learning directly from mines what they are prioritising and can adapt their solutions accordingly.

The show starts at 13:00 and concludes at 17:00, and will be hosted at the Impala Rugby Club. MTE is inviting suppliers that supply equipment or products used in the platinum and chrome mining processes to book their spot or stand.

Whether you provide plant equipment, energy solutions, instrumentation or specialised services, MTE ensures you’re in front of the people who make procurement decisions every day.
