The Mining and Technical Exhibition (MTE) team and our exhibitors held another successful showcase in Zambia, from the bustling stands to impactful engagements. The past month reaffirmed the value of collaboration between suppliers and operations working together under one roof.

Starting at Kalumbila on 15 September, we had 85 exhibitors and 344 visitors. Our Solwezi exhibition had a turnout of 240 visitors with a showcase from 85 exhibitors.
“Our biggest exhibition was at Kitwe with 100 exhibitors and an impressive 564 attendees. We enjoyed a great representation of management for mining operations from all the mines in the area, and supervisors and even representatives from the municipality,” says Andrew Macnamara, exhibition organiser.
“We always thrive to add value to all the different parts of our exhibitions, which is why for Kitwe, we also included cement plants and copperbelt energy corporation,” he says.
Fun fact – we hosted our first exhibition in Zambia 15 years ago in Kitwe.
- 240 visitors supported our Solwezi expo.
- 100 exhibitors showcased their products at the Kitwe expo.
The Kalumbila exhibition has grown a lot since last year, with more people visiting. We had great feedback from the suppliers at our exhibitions. The visitors’ quality was far better than last year, noted by the suppliers.
The weather and venue were amazing. Some suppliers were reminded that we are indeed in the mining environment, thanks to the dusty area of Kalumbila. Solwezi was great with the nice lush green grass.
Feedback from the ground also includes the need for more suppliers in the processing space, such as smelters for maintenance.
